My name is Walter Dunk. Racing has been a passion since I was young, sparked after watching the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix with my Dad. I started developing my driving skills at On Track Karting indoor facility in Brookfield CT. During the pandemic, I transitioned to sim racing, which allowed me to stay competitive and achieve multiple sim racing championship wins. My fathers health challenges further delayed my return to Kart racing until 2023. This turned out to be a pivotal year for my racing. I met my coach Vincent Carey, who helped me to develop my race craft. My first race at Lafayette Motorsports Park was a success, with a pole position and a win in the junior class. After that we decided to focus on the stiffer competition found at Dakland Valley Race Park. After refining my skills more I was able to achieve multiple podiums & 3 club race wins in 2024. I compiled enough points to win the coveted 2024 OVRP Junior Championship! 1 look forward to achieving my next goal of competing on a national level in route to my ultimate goal of becoming an F1 race driver!
